Tanya Sprong is an actress/writer/TV presenter.
The bulk of her theatre work has been in children's theatre and comedy, in fact she prides herself in never having done a sensible adult play.

Tanya grew up in South Africa, trained as actress at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London, she immediately set up Big Peach Theatre Company where she wrote, devised and toured shows in England for the 7-11 year old age group.

These stories were modern retelling of myths and legends from various cultures, a subject that Tanya believes still carries a wealth of meaning for adults and and children alike in today's world.

The anarchic energetic style of Big Peach coupled with their sheer inventiveness ensured success, a full schedule and a 5 star review at the Edingburgh Fringe Festival.

She then studied Short Story Writing at the London School of Journalism and there after moved to Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
She set up Blind Date, a company of actors that developed
their own style of character driven improvistation comedy. Blind Date appeared regularly on the comedy circuit including 'Girls Nite Out' tour and also played at Holland's most prestigious theatre festival 'Oeral' as well the Edingburgh Fringe Festival.
