purple people are a relatively new international theatre company based in Amsterdam, Holland. Established in 2005, the company are dedicated to bringing theatre to children and big children all over the world. Not only theatre that thoroughly entertains, but transforms, transcends and touches the spirit.

purple people was set up in 2005 by Tanya Sprong, who had a specific style in mind. With a background in children's theatre, and more recently in film making, she added the element of moving visuals. This introduced an extra dimension to the story telling aspect of the show, opening up a whole new world of character and setting. As a result, the purple people bring a refreshing twist to the arena of story telling and mixed media theatre.
