Grainne Delaney
obtained her Masters Degree in Theatre & Psychology at Glasgow University.
While she was there, she co-formed Theatre Racoon Repertory Company
as well as working with The Mercury Theatre, a TIE Group, (Theatre In
Education). Her first full-length play, �Playing With Shakespeare�,
co-written with Forest Naylor, represented the Netherlands at the Cairo
Experimental Theatre Festival in 1994.
Grainne has extensive teaching experience
in the IB Curriculum (ISA, ASH) and at the Amsterdam Hogeschool voor
Kunst. (MTD)
She directs and produces under her
company, English Language Productions and facilitates specialized
theatre technique workshops using drama skills, role play, mask, &
improvisation for various clients: Red Cross, Teenage Mothers, Corporate
workers, (TTO) Bilingual Education and Health programs. (Assertive Behaviour,
Drugs Awareness, Harassment, Bullying, Body Image & Peer Pressure).
Her One Woman Show �Speaking
In Tongues� is a culmination of her many years of experience
and interest in Object Theatre, Stand-up, Mask and Mythology.
As soon as she finished touring Stand
Up with �Girls Night Out� Cabaret and improvising in International
Festivals with the Musical Theatre Group, Impromptu she had time
for directing Tokolosh and developing the workshop that accompanies
the performance.
